The webinar will present different classes of emerging drugs of abuse (e.g. cathinones, synthetic cannabinoids, opioids) and strategies and possibilities for their detection with a focus on human urine and blood.
Furthermore, limitations will be discussed concerning different detection techniques towards certain drug classes (e.g. immunoassay). The webinar will close with perspectives on upcoming classes where no analytical data are available yet.
The participant will be informed about new drugs of abuse appeared on the market in the last years and how to detect them in various samples. The participant will also be aware of the fact that there are limitations in detecting such drugs using particular techniques.
